Bathurst Winter Festival - your guide to Brew and Bite

The 2024 Bathurst Winter Festival continues with Charles Sturt University Brew and Bite this Friday and Saturday.  

Friday’s event kicks off at 4pm and runs through until 9pm and Saturday starts at 12 noon and runs through until 9pm. The Winter Playground will be open from 9am with ice skating and rides. 

Charles Sturt University Brew and Bite celebrates the regions brewers, vignerons and distillers and showcases a range of food from food trucks to local chefs.  There’s also twilight markets, entertainment and of course the illuminations and silent disco.

Every day at the Festival

Winter Playground

Open every day between 9am and 9pm. Enjoy the ice skating, the ferris wheel, two-story carousel, sizzler and tea cup rides.  Ride tickets can be purchased from the box office, ice skating sessions can be booked online.

Art in the Park

Art in the Park showcases sculptures by regional artists. Explore Machattie Park and discover this year’s artworks – there's Winter Snowflakes by Robyn Murphy; Terrene, of the earth by Nicole O’Regan; Homage to the Sun by Ludwig Mlcek; Flower Power by Stephen Hogan; Snail Trail by Stephen Hogan and We’re here by Ludwig Mlcek.

Illuminations

The illuminations are on every night of the festival from sundown until 10pm. Check them out at Bathurst Court House, 179 George Street, The Fernery (in Machattie Park), Asteroids and Stronger Together, both in Court House Lane, All Saints Cathedral, Ribbon Gang Lane, Church Bar building, and the former TAFE Building.
