Ninja Warrior fans get excited.

Mayor Cr Jess Jennings said O’Keefe Park on Eglinton Road at Abercrombie is set to get a makeover with a Ninja style fitness park to be installed next to the existing exercise equipment.

“Council has received a $208,000 grant from the State Government to fund the playground upgrade. The equipment includes Ninja classics such as a warped wall, Ninja bar hops, cargo nets, a balance beam and more.

“The park currently has older exercise equipment installed and the new playground will add to the experience for park visitors and make keeping fit a little more fun,” Cr Jennings said.

Member for Bathurst Paul Toole said this will be a great addition to the city.

“There is nothing like this west of Penrith and I am excited to see a new style of fitness equipment hit the city of Bathurst,” Mr Toole said.

“Ninja style training focuses on functional strength and improving balance so this will be equipment that everyone of all ages and abilities will be able to try and benefit from.

“This project wouldn’t be possible without grant funding from the NSW Government and will no doubt become a favourite for locals looking to train like a ninja!”

The playground equipment is expected to be installed in late September this year.
