Community Tree Planting Days

Lend us a hand on Sunday 25 February 2024 to help plant native plants along the banks of Jordan Creek.

Commencing at 10am off Boundary Road at Links Place Drainage Reserve, adults and kids alike can help plant native trees, shrubs and grasses that once mature will provide habitat for local wildlife, and improve the health and ecological function of this important urban waterway. Council will also have a free BBQ lunch afterwards.

Draft Plans of Management for Council owned community land and Council managed crown reserves

Council has prepared draft plans of management for ‘Community’ classified land in the Bathurst LGA. Plans of management provide guidance for the effective long-term management and use of public land and establishes direction for planning, resource management and land maintenance.

Bat Night in Kings Parade

Explore the secrets of flying-fox ecology and find out how these creatures play a big role in our environment. Hear about the efforts of Council in saving this threatened species and find out how you can get involved.

NSW Seniors Festival is held annually and celebrates the valuable contribution seniors make to our community.

History Talk @ the Library

The Bathurst Sportsground

Join Mark Windsor for a presentation on the development of this historic landmark and how its sporting events provide an insight into the character and spirit of Bathurst. Celebrate 100 years of the old Grandstand in the lead up to the NSW Heritage Festival. Mark is Chair of the Cycling NSW Heritage Commission.
