Bathurst Winter Festival is here!
The Bathurst Winter Festival starts Saturday 6 July with Opening Night. Don’t miss this opportunity to beat the crowds and get the first glimpse at the festival.
Opening Night features the Official Festival Opening, Bowman Dental All Schools Stage, Lantern Parade, food trucks, some of the region’s best beer, wine and cider, along with spectacular entertainment and the historic buildings of Bathurst being illuminated for the first time in 2024. 2024 Local Government Elections | Candidate information sessions
Council will host two forums for aspiring candidates for this year’s local government elections.
The candidate information sessions will be held:
10.30am - 12 noon - Wednesday 17 July | Council Chamber
5.30pm - 7pm - Thursday 18 July | Council Chamber
Both sessions will provide valuable insights for those considering nominating for this year’s local government elections and the content for both sessions will be the same. The discussion will include items like the time commitment required including attendance at Council meetings and other events, the framework Council’s operate in and the roles of Councillors and Council staff.

Windradyne 1100 Subdivision
Ideally located in the picturesque western gateway to Bathurst, Council is pleased to release the Windy 1100 subdivision (stage 1) consisting of 72 single service lots.
These lots are situated on the western side of the city in close proximity to amenities such as Westpoint shopping centre (1.5km) and schools including West Bathurst (2.9km), Assumption School (3.7km) and Bathurst High (4.2km).

Have your say in Bathurst’s new Destination Management Plan
Bathurst Regional Council is commencing public consultation on a new Destination Management Plan. The Plan will provide a five-year strategic guide to make planning, capacity building, marketing, and financial decisions about tourism in the region and to build upon the achievements of recent years.
Community consultation runs through until Sunday 21 July 2024 and Council encourages all interested stakeholders to provide feedback by joining a face-to-face or online forum, completing the online survey, or emailing or calling the project team.

2024 Bathurst Careers Expo
The annual Bathurst Careers Expo provides the chance for job-seekers and school-leavers to explore their career prospects with over 80 exhibitors in attendance, ranging from educational institutions to large and small businesses based in the Central West.
