Bathurst Regional Youth Council

MISSION STATEMENT

The Bathurst Regional Youth Council empowers young people to represent the voice of youth in the Bathurst region and to develop their skills to build engaged citizens and progressive leadership. The Bathurst Regional Youth Council strives to promote a positive community environment.

PURPOSE

The Bathurst Regional Youth Council’s role is to represent the voice of young people who live, work and study in the Bathurst Local Government Area.

Applications for the Bathurst Regional Youth Council are open from 9am Monday 20 May 2024 and must be submitted by 4pm Monday 17 June 2024.

The Bathurst Regional Youth Council empowers young people to represent the voice of youth in the Bathurst region and to develop their skills to build engaged citizens and progressive leadership. The Bathurst Regional Youth Council strives to promote a positive community environment.

The Bathurst Regional Youth Council’s role is to represent the voice of young people who live, work and study in the Bathurst Local Government Area.

The Bathurst Regional Youth Council aims to represent the voices and opinions of all young people in the region and so we encourage young people from all backgrounds to apply. This opportunity is inclusive of people with lived experience of disability.

Recruitment occurs annually in May. Keep an eye on the website and Council's Facebook pages for updates.

 

 

Youth Network

Youth Network

The Bathurst Youth Network meets to discuss local issues surrounding young people aged between 12 and 24 years.  Representatives from various services exchange information and look at ways to provide the best possible supports to young people in the Bathurst area.

Meetings are held bi-monthly on the third Wednesday of the meeting month, between 9.30am-11.00am in the Committee Room, 1st Floor, Bathurst Regional Council.
