Winburndale Infrastructure Upgrade Tour

Registrations are open for a tour of Winburndale Dam Infrastructure Upgrade

The Winburndale Dam Wall has received a $16 million flood security upgrade and the community is invited to have a tour of this important piece of infrastructure. The tour will be held on Wednesday 28 February with two buses both departing from the Court House at 10.00 am and arriving back in Bathurst at approximately 2.00 pm.

Please note the following:

•           Fully enclosed shoes are required.

•           Sunhat and sunscreen recommended.

•           Participants must bring their own food and water for lunch.

•           Limited mobile phone coverage is available.

•           Surfaces are uneven, undulating, and unpaved. There are no paved walkways.

•           Participants must be 12 years of age or older to attend and need a guardian for those aged 13-18.

•           All travel to be by bus no private vehicles allowed.

•           The event will proceed in most weather conditions.
