The new public amenities block at Bicentennial Park includes improved improved male and female toilets, an accessible toilet/parents room, and an accessible ‘Changing Places’ Design 2.0 adult change facility that includes a toilet, shower, adult changing table, and overhead crane to meet special accessibility needs.
The amenities features a heritage exterior aesthetic to suit the local area while incorporating a modernised interior. Additional works include establishing two accessible parking spaces on Williams St with a connection to the Changing Places facility via a new 1500mm accessible path.
The new facility opened on Wednesday 18 December 2024.
The project cost is $727,669.
