Temporary Road Closure - Mount Panorama - Bathurst Light Car Club

The public is advised that part of Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit will be closed to traffic on Saturday 30 November and Sunday 1 December 2024, from 7.00am to 6.00pm, to allow the Bathurst Light Car Club to conduct its annual speed weekend. Temporary road closures will be in place as follows – 

Supersprint – Saturday 30 November 2024 – from the eastern side of McPhillamy Park gates on Skyline, through the Esses, Conrod Straight and Pit Straight to Mountain Straight side of Hell Corner up to the Pit Entrance. 

 Alternate access will be via Ray Bant Drive and Caltex Chase tunnel. 

Mountain Straight Hillclimb – Sunday 1 December 2024 – from the Pit exit gates on Mountain Straight to the eastern side of McPhillamy Park gates. 

Alternate access to the top of the Mount will be via Barry Gurdon Drive.

Temporary Road Closure for the Construction of the Marsden Lane and Hughes Street Roundabout

Hynash Constructions Pty Ltd advises that Marsden Lane, from Ilumba Way to Sunbright Road, will be temporarily closed from Monday 21 October 2024 for approximately 14 weeks, with local access maintained for affected residents within the work area.

Temporary Road Closure Havannah Street (between Rocket Street and Brilliant Street)

Council advises that Havannah Street, between Rocket Street and Brilliant Street, will be temporarily closed between the hours of 6.30am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday, from Monday 11 November 2024, for approximately 2 weeks (weather permitting).

Access will be maintained for affected residents within the work area.

The temporary closure is for bitumen pavement maintenance works.

Temporary Part Road Closure - Stanley and William Streets

STANLEY STREET & WILLIAM STREET 

Council advises the 2024 Bathurst Wallabies Triathlon includes the following temporary road closures on Sunday 22 December 2024, between 8:00 am and 11:00 am: 

  • William Street between Charlotte Street and Stanley Street 

  • Stanley Street between William Street and George Street

Temporary Road Closure - New Years Eve Event

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE 

Council advises that the following roads will be temporarily closed from 06:00am until 11:00pm Tuesday 31 December 2024:  

  • Hope Street between Durham Street and Howick Street   

  • Loftus Street 

The temporary closure is for the Bathurst Business Chamber New Year’s Eve Event. Access for residents within the closure will be available from the Howick Street end only.

Temporary Road Closure - Dhuluny Festival

Council advises that the following roads will be temporarily closed from 12:00am Friday 13 December 2024 until 4:00pm Sunday 15 December 2024: 

  • Russell Street between William Street and George Street  

  • Church Street between Parish Lane and Ribbon Gang Lane. 

The temporary closure is for the holding of the Aboriginal Art Markets and an evening concert at Kings Parade.

 Access to Courthouse Lane, Parish Lane and Ribbon Gang Lane will be maintained during this closure  

 

Temporary Road Closures - 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour Track to Town

Council advises that the following closures and changes to traffic conditions will be in place for the 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour Track to Town event.

  • No parking zone (30m) on Church Street between George Street and William Street (Kings Parade side) from 3pm Wednesday 29 November to 6pm Thursday 30 January 2025.
  • No parking on Russell Street between George Street and William Street (Kings Parade side) from 3pm Wednesday 29 November 2025.
  •  Closure of Russell Street between George Street and William Street from 6am to 6pm Thursday 30 January 2025.
  •  Temporary relocation of the Russell Street taxi rank and disabled parking to the existing taxi rank and disabled parking on Church Street on Thursday 30 January 2025.
