Bathurst Regional Access Committee (BRAC)

BRAC

The Bathurst Regional Access Committee (BRAC) is an independent voluntary committee that advocates, educates and/or advises Council, Public Organisations and Businesses in order to achieve fair and equitable access to the built environment, goods and services for all.

BRAC also endeavours to help with residents access issues or concerns in order that everyone is able to participate in life on an equal basis as much as is feasible. All members of the community are invited to attend our meetings or provide input by way of correspondence. This open invitation is extended to all businesses, support groups and organisations as well as visitors to the region.

Any resident of the Bathurst Regional Council Local Government Area is able to raise relevant issues and seek the Committee’s support and advice.  A great deal of access rectification and education is achieved by the Committee for the benefit of all.  Often it is only a lack of knowledge that leads to access difficulties.

If you would like to go on the email list to receive Agendas and Minutes or if you require more information please email the BRAC Secretary.

Meetings are held every month (excluding December and January) at 1.00pm in the meeting rooms on the first floor of the Council Civic Centre Russell Street.  Meeting dates can be obtained from the Secretary.  A lift and stairs are available, as are accessible toilets.

BRAC appreciates the support of Bathurst Regional Council.
