FOGO Tips:
  • Put ALL food waste in your green food and garden waste bin to be collected weekly

  • Put your FOGO waste bin out on the verge the night before collection every week even if it is not full

  • If your waste bin is missed or damaged please phone JR Richards Waste Hotline on 1300 883 163

  • Use a kitchen caddy to capture food scraps from cooking and preparing food

  • Use a piece of paper towel or newspaper in the base of a kitchen caddy to sop up small amounts of liquid or moisture

  • Place a layer of leaves of lawn clippings to bin before putting in food scraps to reduce odours and soak up moisture

  • Any extra paper or cardboard recycling that won’t fit into the yellow lidded recycling bin can be placed in the food and green waste bin

  • Place leftover meat, prawn shells and similar food scraps in the freezer until collection day to reduce odours

  • Drain excess liquids from food scraps before putting them into your kitchen caddy or kerbside FOGO bin

  • Empty your kitchen caddy frequently and keep it dry

Look up when your waste will be collected here....
