Lost, Stolen or Vandalised Bins

If you suspect your kerbside bin has been lost, stolen or vandalised, Council requests you check with the neighbours, or see if your bin has ended up further down your street etc. before contacting Council.  

If you cannot find the bin you will need to complete a Lost Stolen Waste Bin Declaration Statement form or contact Council to discuss the matter on (02) 6333 6100.

An $88 Bin Replacement Fee applies (per bin) if the bin has been lost or stolen. This fee is an upfront cost that will need to be paid prior to the new Replacement Bin being arranged for the property. This fee can be paid at the Rates Section of Council or by Credit Card over the phone.

Please note: Waste bins remain the property of Bathurst Regional Council. 

Delivery Timeframe: Bin delivery will usually have a turn around of up to 7 working days from the date the request is received by Council.

Damaged Waste Bins

If your bin has been damaged, Council will repair or replace it. A bin is considered damaged and will be repaired if it is missing wheels or a lid. If the bin has a (large) split body it will be replaced with a new bin. Damaged bins must be placed on the nature strip to await repairs/replacement.
