Streaming of Council Meetings
All Council meetings (except confidential sessions of the meetings) are recorded and are available from Council’s YouTube channel. Council’s YouTube Channel Recordings of meetings are considered 'Government Information' and Council will retain the information for a period of at least one year and may be disposed of in accordance with State Records Act 1998. Attending a Council Meeting
Members of the public are invited to attend all Ordinary Council Meetings, Policy Committee Meetings. Some Committee Meetings (subject to the right of Council and Committees, pursuant to Section 10A(2) of the Local Government Act 1993) are able to resolve to exclude the public during consideration of a particular item or items on the business paper.
Addressing Council – Public Forum
Public forum will commence at 6pm, immediately prior to the commencement of the Council meeting. Public forum will be livestreamed as per Council's Code of Meeting Practice adopted at the 10 December 2025 Ordinary Council Meeting.
Persons wishing to address Council in relation to an item on the agenda or other matters must register by completing the attached form by 4pm the day of the meeting. Hard copies of the request to address Council form are also available from Council’s Civic Centre. In order to receive a response from Council in relation to the matter raised, contact details must be provided.
Please note that four (4) minutes will be allocated for you to address Council. This time is to be strictly enforced by the chairperson.
Speakers at public forums must not digress from the matter(s) they have applied to address the Council on. If a speaker digresses to irrelevant matters, the chairperson is to direct the speaker not to do so. If a speaker fails to observe a direction from the chairperson, the speaker will not be further heard.
When addressing the Council, speakers at public forums must comply with this code and all other relevant Council codes, policies, legislation and procedures, including the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (NSW). Speakers must refrain from engaging in disorderly conduct, publicly alleging breaches of the Council’s code of conduct or making other potentially defamatory statements.

Business Papers
Council provides access to the reports presented to Council, at Ordinary, Extraordinary and Policy Committee Meetings, except for Confidential items. Business papers are released the Friday prior to the Council meeting.
