With thousands of tickets already sold, Bathurst is counting down to Saturday 24 May when the Penrith Panthers take on the Newcastle Knights in Round 12 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.
Bathurst Mayor, Cr Robert Taylor, said he is looking forward to welcoming the Panthers to Bathurst for another year, with the hope that they’ll be playing to another sell-out crowd.
“With sales having opened just last month, over 5,700 tickets have already been sold for this year’s game, and close to 75% of these have been to fans from outside of the Bathurst Region.
“Tickets are flying faster than last year, with 1500 more tickets sold so far than this time in 2024. Grandstand seats and corporate hospitality are already sold-out, with other sections close behind. I’d get in quickly to secure your spot!
“It’s excellent to know that this game attracts such a large crowd of supporters from beyond the Central West. I look forward to the vibrancy it brings to our city and the economic boost it delivers to the wider region,” commented Mayor Taylor.
The Panthers will be taking on the Newcastle Knights at 5.30pm on Saturday 24 May at Carrington Park. Tickets are available at http://www.bathurst.nsw.gov.au/Events/NRL, and with anticipated large crowds, make sure to also secure yourself an Express Bar Pass so you don’t miss a second of the action. Passes are available through 123Tix.
Affiliated community activities are additionally open for registrations. All individuals interested in participating in the Group 10 Club Parade and Under 8’s Mini-mods must register online at www.bathurst.nsw.gov.au/Events/NRL - registrations close 1 May with limited spaces available. Registrations for the well-loved Play like a Panthers clinic will also be open soon.
